Bærum Ju Jitsu Klubb
Stabekk · Viken / Eastern Norway
Gamle Ringeriksvei 6, 1369 Stabekk
Traditional ju-jitsu is the Japanese ancestor of both judo and Brazilian jiu-jitsu, covering throws, locks, strikes and self-defence in a single system. In Norway it is often trained in the same club as judo.
23 clubs across 20 Norwegian towns have ju-jitsu (traditional) on the schedule. All of them say so on their own pages — none are inferred. The clubs that publish a price sit at 222–3000 kr a month.
Traditional ju-jitsu covers throws, joint locks, escapes and strikes in one syllabus, often drilled as agreed sequences before opening up. The emphasis is on self-defence and form rather than competition.
The names are nearly identical, the content is not. Brazilian jiu-jitsu specialises in ground fighting against full resistance; Japanese ju-jitsu covers a broader syllabus with less free sparring. Check which one the club actually trains before you join.

Addresses and prices are read automatically off the clubs' websites, and the organisation number is matched automatically against the Norwegian company register. All of it may be wrong, outdated, for a different class (kids, student, family), or for a different legal entity than the one running the training. The price is usually an adult membership, excluding joining fees and licences. If something here is wrong, tell us and we will fix it.
